Karen originally trained as a Scientific Illustrator at Middlesex University. Following her graduation she worked as a freelance illustrator for publishers Penguin, HarperCollins and Dorling Kindersley and as a graphic designer for the Fire Service. 
Karen now lives in the beautiful coastal town of Broadstairs, Kent. She was one of the original curators of the New Kent Art Gallery & Studio where she continues to exhibit her own work.

​Karen was recently made a member of the East Kent Art Society and has been a Wild Card artist twice for the Sky Arts Artist of the Year Competition.

​Karen works in gouache, oils, acrylic, resin and watercolour and loves experimenting with texture and colour. In recent years she has exhibited widely across the UK, with sold work going across the globe to the USA, Europe and Australia.
